Since those kexts are protected by SIP you need to turn it off first using apple recovery boot.

Another pointer, I did 10.13.1 install (working sound), upgrade to 10.13.6 (no sound), fix with kext and sound was back. I don’t know if there is any other specific thing to set as this works for me.
